Stop the Pain is a faith-based program, founded in 2013 at Prospect United Methodist Church. The program focuses on reducing the impact of substance use via prevention and recovery. Stop the Pain became fiscally sponsored by PAWSS, Inc. in 2023.
Aim
Raise awareness of substance-use to decrease the stigma associated with this mental health issue by providing avenues of support for current and recovering individuals suffering from substance-use along with support for their families.
Stop the Pain’s mission is “Saving lives through education and recovery,” and our vision is “to alleviate suffering
caused by substance use.”
